Email is an important part of your sales funnel. For example, with Active Campaign you can email someone after they have left your shopping cart and send them a reminder. In which places in your company can you use email marketing to 'catch up' with people?

When do you use email marketing?

Email is a great way to consistently remind people of you and to weave your products together.

I often advise my clients to use it in four ways. In this module, we mainly focus on the first two.

1. By sending a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly newsletter.

2. By creating e-mail funnels as a safety net. For example, after someone has downloaded your e-book, has participated in a webinar or challenge or if someone has left their shopping cart.

3. After you've given a challenge or webinar, or after someone has downloaded your eBook but hasn't taken a purchase action. You know that someone is interested in you and your service or product, but sometimes people need a helping hand. That's why I often email people manually to offer them a free call. In that appointment, I do an up-sell.

4. You can also spontaneously e-mail people if you think they are your ideal customer and invite them for a conversation. It is especially nice to immediately deliver something of value. For example, are you a business coach? Take a look at someone's website and Instagram and give some tips in the email. Are you a stylist? Then take a look at someone's clothing style and give some tips. That way you immediately give something of value and stimulate your curiosity. My tip here: always give a compliment first to make someone feel positive.
