In this digital age, photography and videography is an essential tool for good social media presence of any brand.

Thus, if you are chasing your customers on Instagram or Facebook, use compelling images to get a head start. Recently it is found that Facebook posts with photos are generating 2.3 times more engagement than a post without any image.

This emphasizes the importance of photography for any business. The way the algorithm is generated, if your business’s posts aren’t getting any engagement they are not being seen.

On the other hand the only way to get any traction from Instagram is through images. Considering that Instagram has around 1 billion users, it is of utmost importance for the success of any brand to be engaging with their customers using Instagram as well. Showing who you are and what your mission is will help people connect. It's so important to create the LIKE, KNOW, AND TRUST.

With good photography and videography of any business, customers are more likely to keep visiting your social media more than once. It leaves an impressive impression on the viewers and gives them a reason to come back to your page again. Good photography can make your brand stand out from any similar brands or businesses on social media.

Learn it yourself and work with others

Not everyone is a professional photographer or videographer, but that doesn't mean you can't make beautiful content. I will always use a combination of both. I will work together with a photographer and videographer AND I learn to create content myself. But I believe it's also important to learn to create beautiful content yourself. Therefore I will offer you my free presets that you can use to edit your pictures. Normally I sell these but because you are in my program I give them as a little present. See the resources down below.

Using Lightroom for editing your pictures

So maybe you ask yourself what are presets?

Lightroom presets are image filters that use a set of pre-saved settings to edit your photos to look brighter, richer, and generally more amazing. You can use the same preset on every photo to create a similar vibe next to your other pictures.

How do you install the presets?

You can install them on your desktop or mobile. I have attached a how-to-install pdf in the resources. You have to download lightroom on your mobile in which you can find in the app store.

What to do and not to do! Good content for your business means you are visible. A lot of times you are the brand of your business. People buy from people so they need to build a relationship with you. Make sure you smile in the pictures and videos. Share value and show a pleasant environment in the background.

Equipment

Equipment is super important to produce the best quality content. However, if you’re just starting out, there is absolutely no need to spend hundreds of dollars on a camera. Using a phone camera is completely fine!

Get into the habit of taking as many photos as you can, whether you’re in them or not. If I see a frame and I’m debating whether or not to take out my camera and go through the effort of setting up for a photo, ALWAYS SAY YES AND GO FOR IT. You’ll have more content, practice putting your business first, and learn by doing, even if the photo doesn’t come out worthy to be posted.

Plan a photo shoot

Try planning a photo shoot day to create as much content as possible in one day. Bring outfit changes and plan out exactly where you want to shoot.

TIPS FOR GETTING THE PERFECT SHOT:

- Good lighting (I love golden hour)

- Frame yourself properly

- Knowing your good side and best angles

- Add depth

- Add movement

- Flowy, colorful outfits that POP

- Beautiful location is always a plus!
