How do you ensure that a sales conversation runs smoothly?My first tip is, please do NOT think of it as a sales call. The moment you do this, you put pressure on yourself and on what the outcome should be.Make sure you go into the conversation with calmness and the goal of connecting with the person and genuinely helping them further.

The only goal is to show that you can really help that person with your product or service by showing a piece of your expertise. During the conversation you will quickly find out whether the potential customer is ready for your product or service.My second tip is to make sure you write a script. This is also the purpose of this module. It does NOT mean that you have to read a script during the conversation, because every conversation is different. What you do want is that you are in charge of the conversation and that you can tell your story with strength and conviction. Guidelines are therefore important, so that you don't shoot left and right in your conversation.My third tip is make sure you meditate or take a moment for yourself before entering into a conversation. Don't go from one activity to another. Make sure you connect well with yourself first and take a moment for yourself to be completely open to the person you are going into the conversation with. From rest you make a much better connection with the other.Here is an example of a structure for your sales conversation. You don't have to use this, there are many different ways. I'll take you through it for a moment:IntroductionYou always start by setting up the conversation strategically. Indicate what the person can expect and how long you'll be busy. Make sure you give the person the space to tell her or his story and get to know the person a little better.example:Hello...., so nice to get in touch with you. How are you doing today? so I want to let you know for the next 20 minutes how this works. I'm going to provide you with as much value and strategy as possible to help you with.........Listen:It is important that you then listen carefully to what the REAL problem or challenge is. This allows you to give the person the best possible tips and show your expertise.Example:Great, so what I hear you say is you struggle with…Tell me more about it.....StrategyNow that you know what your customer's pain points are, it is important to respond to this and really help them further. By saying grab a notepad and a pen, you show that what you are going to say is very valuable and that they should co-write it, so that they actually get to work with the tips and advice. Then give two or three good pieces of advice in which you clearly show your expertise. Don't give everything away right away, so that they can continue after the call, but give away a small piece and make sure you show the urgency to get started with this.Example:OK, I hear what you're saying. Grab your notepad and write this down.Step number one….Step number two..Step number three..To sellAfter you have shown values and you understand very well what the person needs, you can see if it fits your product or service. Always be very honest. Even if you cannot help the person, see if you have people in your network who can help this person. If it is the case that this is your ideal customer, you can proceed to sell the piece. It is important that you first ask yourself how the person stands in this. Clearly indicate what they can expect from your product and service and then only if they really want to, you can continue on the price and ask if they want to register right away or buy the product. You can notice this by the way they are in it. Good listening is therefore also KEY.Example:Listen (name), I can really help you, I'm happy to work 1-1 with you and help you with ......... What are your thoughts on that?They are (number of) sessions. I see you every week on zoom. And every week we go.... to help you further...
